“What is your favorite holiday?”

Christmas!

I am not all that religious, more spiritual, I guess. I believe in a higher power, a creator, not necessarily the God that I was taught about all my life.

This disappoints many people, mainly my mom and dad. My dad is no longer with us.. I digress…

My dad loved the holidays. My mom does too. They always went that extra bit to make sure it was amazing. It’s changed a lot for us in the last 10 years as it is just us, no extended family to celebrate with, no big gathering with lots of food, love, and laughter. It makes me sad for my kid. But, we’ve always tried to make it nice for her.

Christmas, for me, is more about slowing down and enjoying real quality time with my people. I love buying gifts for them. We are big on getting things needed over things wanted, but we still do things wanted in a big way.

I love my decorations and all the lights and having the tree up. I love how cozy our home is when decorated.

I miss my dad so much, all the time. It’s so much harder around the holidays, though.

Until next time … xoxo

“How do you feel when you look to the sky?”

That depends. Is it a cloudless blue sky day? Or is it a puffy cloud day? Is it a gray day? Or at night under the moon and the stars?

Each of those gives me different feels. Cloudless blue sky days remind me of being a kid, sitting in the sun, making mud pies. Good memories equal good feels.

Puffy cloud days make me giddy. I always want to grab my camera and head out to chase them.

Gray days are often melancholy… so, not bad, but not good, either.

And any night under the moon and stars is a good one. It’s when I’m happiest, I think, at least in regard to this question. 🙂

“How many hours did you sleep last night?“

About 5… which is average for me.

“Name a song you love, that’s covered by another artist.”

Two come to mind that are favorites. One is Mellencamp’s version of Under the Boardwalk. It’s phenomenal. The other is Freddie Mercury’s version of The Great Pretender.

I love the originals of both songs, but I like the covers even better. John and Freddie did amazing covers!

“What’s the tone/music of your alarm?”

I’m sure this will be a surprise to those that know me.

It’s the song Radio Ga Ga by Queen. Lol

🤷‍♀️ …. 🥰

What is yours?

“What makes you skip meals sometimes?”

Laziness. Or the fact that I’m just not hungry. Sometimes, I’m just busy.

Then there are those days where I’m ravenous. Yet, nothing is appealing. I must open the fridge a hundred times, but… nope. So, I skip it!

I’m not an adventurous eater. I tried something today that, upon first glance I thought, “Nope!”

I’m glad I gave it a chance because it as healthy, delicious, filling, and I can’t wait to have it again! Lol

“How do you generally feel in the morning?”

Tired as Hell. I don’t sleep much. I average maybe 3 or 4 hours a night. Mornings are tough. But I just get up and get a shower and I’m usually good to go.

I know mornings are a time where I give thanks for my life, and every one in it. I’m so blessed. My mornings are quiet, and filled with gratitude. That makes it easy to push through the tired.

I also echo what my daughter’s former school principal used to say during morning announcements, “Have a good day. Or not. The choice is yours…” I choose to have a good day!

“How do you plan your day?”

I don’t. I really don’t plan much. Things never go according to plan when I do. 🤷‍♀️ and that just irritates me.

I may have a list, but not a plan. Lol

“What do you do to relieve stress?”

I sleep. Seriously. If I’m really stressed out, a 20 minute nap zaps that shit right in the ass. Lol.

Or I pace, stew, and mumble obscenities under my breath. 🤪

Time slipped away from me, again. Ugh.

“What is your favorite color?”

Blue! Any variation of blue… 💙

I love green in the spring, when the trees and the grass have gone green.. so lush and beautiful! I like yellow a lot too. But blue is definitely my favorite.

What about you?

Until next time … xoxo
